How The Cool Scarf Works

The Cool Scarf is manufactured in the UK, using only the purest forms of water retaining and swelling polymer. In using polymer only from certified sources, we can provide the following information regarding the compliance and integrity of the material:-
It is a polymer that is approved for use in the treatment of drinking water, the clarification of sugar and in the production of food contact paper and board
Is produced from raw materials which are included in Annex 2 of Commission Directive 2002/72/EC of 6th August 2002 relating to plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs.
Use of the polymer in the cool scarf does not constitute a human health risk even in the inadvertent contact with food stuffs (BUT please note the polymer should not be eaten or purposely ingested)
There are a small number of 'similar' sounding products on the market but only our Cool Scarves use the purest and highest quality polymer with the above certifications.
This product is patented.
The Cool Scarf contains non-toxic high purity cold absorbing polymer gel crystals. By soaking the scarf in clean cold water for approx 4 minutes, the crystals form a cool gel. It’s like magic. But the real magic is in their ability to stay cool for up to 10hrs at a time!
You wear a Kitchen Cool Scarf around your neck or forehead and it works in conjunction with your body’s natural cooling system to help cool you faster and for longer. For extra coolness you can also place an activated scarf in the fridge and the cold absorbing gel captures more cold! Brrrrrrrilliant :)
When it is around your neck, it helps to cool the blood flowing to and from the brain via your main arteries. This blood then goes on to cool the rest of your body. Just what you need when you are at boiling point.
What’s more, because the scarves are washable you can use them time and time again. The gel remains cold absorbing for up to 3 years depending on amount of use.
Precautions
Consistent use in extreme temperatures will reduce the lifecycle of the gel
Incorrect care of the scarf will also reduce the gel lifecycle
So ALWAYS hang up to air in between use so that the gel crystals and material can refreshCool hand wash onlyNEVER machine wash or wash at a high temperature
